Smashing country-of-origin poster for John Sturges classic The Great Escape starring Steve McQueen, James Garner and Richard Attenborough. Fantastic design by Frank McCarthy on this 1980 re-release film poster.
Comes with fantastic provenance. From the personal collection of someone who worked in the cinema industry for over 60 years in New Zealand. Who started out in the late 50s putting the posters up around town, shortly after as a projectionist and from the 1980s onwards, owner of a number of cinemas themselves.
This vintage movie poster is sized 27 x 41 inches. It will be sent rolled (unframed).

Little marking on margins. Original New Zealand ratings stamp on bottom right lends to its authenticity. Great condition |
