Roger Kastel was one of the most celebrated American commercial artists of the 20th century, best known for creating some of cinema’s most iconic poster imagery. His bold, dramatic and instantly recognisable style helped define the look of major Hollywood releases, most famously this Jaws design and The Empire Strikes Back. Kastel’s work combined painterly skill with strong theatrical impact, making his posters not just advertising pieces but enduring works of popular art, highly prized by collectors today.

The summer blockbuster by Spielberg - one of the defining directors of modern American cinema, still remains today a brilliantly effective thriller, telling the story of a seaside community terrorised by a great white shark. This 50 year old poster survives in fantastic unrestored tri-folded condition — something that is now very difficult to find.
