The Art of the Unexpected
Polish artist Wiktor Górka (1922 - 2004) graduated with honours in 1952 from the graphic design department of Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under professor Jerzy Karolak. He worked for Poland's largest publishing houses and film distributors: RSW "Prasa", "WAG", "CWF" and established himself as one of the undisputed masters of the Polish School of Posters and for many years was a visiting professor at numerous artistic academies in Mexico.
A prolific artist, Gorka created many iconic and contemporary designs for film, theatre, circus and travel posters winning many awards in the process.
