The Muppet Movie 1982 Polish B1 Film Poster, Waldemar Swierzy

The original first-year-of-release Polish film poster for The Muppet Movie is pure joy with a seriously arty edge. Designed by Waldemar Swierzy, it dials up the chaos, colour and character of the film in one wildly expressive image, with the anarchic Animal centre stage alongside Kermit and company, it's a piece of bold, unmistakable poster art.

Released in 1979, The Muppet Movie brought Jim Henson’s much-loved characters to the big screen with wit, warmth and a brilliant line-up of cameos. Funny, offbeat and endlessly charming, it remains a cult favourite, loved for its humour, heart and that unmistakable Muppet magic.

What makes this poster so special is its unmistakably Polish approach. The Polish School of Posters transformed film advertising into something far more imaginative, expressive and artist-led, often favouring mood, satire and visual invention over straightforward studio imagery. Swierzy was one of the movement’s major names, celebrated for his painterly style, graphic confidence and larger-than-life sense of personality. This poster has all of that in spades.

A rare poster in superb condition. This vintage movie poster is sized 26 1/2 x 38 1/2 inches and will be sent rolled (unframed)
