Jazz Jamboree 1971 Polish Jazz Festival Poster, Henryk Tomaszewski

A superb piece of Polish music graphics created for the 14th Jazz Jamboree in Warsaw, held in October 1971. The festival was one of Eastern Europe's most important jazz events, bringing international sounds and serious modernist style to the city.

Henryk Tomaszewski turns the trumpet into a playful cut-paper construction, set against an irresistible dusty-pink field. Loose lettering billows from the bell like a cloud of smoke and music. Bright, witty and effortlessly cool, this is a standout poster from one of Poland's greatest graphic designers. Arguably the most coveted and collectable Jazz Jamboree poster.

This original movie poster was folded (as issued) but has been stored flat a long time and folds softened and barely noticeable. It is sized approx. 23 x 32 1/2 inches and will be sent rolled (unframed).
