Star Wars 1979 Polish B1 Film Poster, Jakub Erol

George Lucas's Star Wars changed blockbuster cinema forever, launching Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo and Darth Vader into pop-culture immortality. This Polish release arrived as the phenomenon crossed the Iron Curtain.

One of our favourite Star Wars posters. Jakub Erol puts C-3PO centre stage and blasts away the usual heroic montage. Printed in stark black, white and radioactive yellow, the droid becomes a rough-edged cosmic icon surrounded by exploding stars. Raw, graphic and brilliantly unexpected, it is one of the coolest alternate visions of the original film.

This original movie poster was folded (as issued) but has been stored flat a long time and folds softened and barely noticeable. It is sized approx. 26 1/2 x 37 3/4 inches and will be sent rolled (unframed).
