Jaws 3 1980s Egyptian Film Poster

A wonderfully bold original Egyptian film poster for Jaws 3, the 1980s shark thriller released internationally as Jaws 3-D. This striking design places the enormous shark front and centre, bursting from the water behind a small sailboat, with dramatic Arabic typography and the English Shark’s! title treatment below. The result is a vivid, highly decorative and unusual international poster for one of cinema’s most famous thriller franchises.

Released in 1983, Jaws 3-Dwas the third instalment in the hugely successful Jaws series. Directed by Joe Alves, the film moved the action to a Florida marine park, where a giant great white shark threatens staff, visitors and the park’s underwater attractions. Starring Dennis Quaid, Bess Armstrong, Simon MacCorkindale and Lea Thompson, the film embraced the 1980s craze for 3-D cinema, delivering a more spectacle-driven sequel to Steven Spielberg’s original classic.

Egyptian film posters are especially prized by collectors for their energetic hand-painted style, bold colour and distinctive bilingual presentation. Rather than simply reproducing standard Western artwork, Egyptian posters often reimagined international films with a lively local graphic language, combining dramatic illustration with strong Arabic lettering and eye-catching layouts. This Jaws 3 poster is a great example, full of movement, danger and wonderfully theatrical appeal.

This vintage film poster is sized 27 1/2 x 39 1/2 inches. It will be sent rolled (unframed).
