Agay 1928 PLM French Railway Travel Advertising Poster, Roger Borders

A Riviera dream in pure poster form. Roger Broders' 1928 design for the PLM railway turns Agay on the Côte d'Azur into a sharply composed escape: umbrella pines frame a brilliant blue bay, with tiny figures and crisp geometry pulling the eye towards the water.

Broders was one of the masters of French travel poster design, celebrated for reducing landscapes to bold planes of colour and elegant silhouettes. This is exactly why his railway work remains so coveted — sophisticated Art Deco tourism with sunshine built in.

This original poster has been professionally linen-backed and is sized approx. 30 1/4 x 42 inches (plus a little including the linen-backing). It will be sent rolled (unframed).
