Orson Welles rewrote the rules of cinema with Citizen Kane, his dazzling 1941 portrait of power, ambition and the mystery behind a media tycoon. Its deep-focus photography, fractured storytelling and famously slippery truth still feel modern.
For this Polish release, Henryk Tomaszewski ignores Hollywood portraiture and lets typography take over. Blocks of red, green and black slash across a blazing yellow field, while ghostly figures of Kane hover underneath. Loud, witty and brilliantly off-centre, it is classic Tomaszewski and pure Polish poster swagger.
This original movie poster was folded (as issued) but has been stored flat a long time and folds softened and barely noticeable. It is sized approx. 24 1/4 x 34 inches and will be sent rolled (unframed).
