The king of monsters at Grande scale. This French re-release poster for the original King Kong uses huge hand-painted lettering, jungle action and a wonderfully dramatic image of Kong to sell one of cinema's most enduring spectacles.

Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack's 1933 film changed fantasy cinema forever, and this later French design keeps that sense of awe intact. Oversized, colourful and fantastically theatrical.
