Monsieur Beaucaire 1924 US 1 Sheet Film Poster

Silent-era Hollywood at its most luxurious. This original US one sheet for Sidney Olcott's Monsieur Beaucaire gives Rudolph Valentino a theatrical, almost operatic pose, dressed in lavish costume against a deep blue field.

The 1924 Paramount film was designed as a grand star vehicle for Valentino, and the poster absolutely understands the assignment. Elegant illustration, rich colour and extraordinary period presence make this a very special survivor. This is an incredibly rare poster, the only known example.

This original poster has been professionally linen-backed and is sized approx. 27 x 40 3/4 inches (plus a little including the linen-backing). It will be sent rolled (unframed).
