Star Wars 1977 UK Quad Style C Pre-Oscar Film Poster, Tom Chantrell

The non-Oscar version of the UK Quad Style C film poster - a key item for any serious Star Wars collector. Designed by Tom Chantrell, who was tasked with enhancing the star appeal and the merchandising opportunities for Fox and George Lucas.

Star Wars was released in the UK ahead of the Oscar Awards, but as soon as these were announced, posters were printed with additional Oscar text. The early non-Oscar version was printed in only limited numbers, making this version significantly rarer than the Oscars version.

This original vintage movie poster has been professionally linen-backed is sized 30 x 39 7/8 inches (plus a little more with the linen). It will be sent rolled (unframed).
